So it looks like entitled people will have something else to bitch about this Holiday Season. A bunch, I think 47, of retired League of Legends skins are going to be going back on sale on November 29, 2013. Each of these skins will be sold for their original price as far as I can tell, with each day being offered as a sale day (50% discount) for one of the skins. The list od prices and dates is available on the Riot announcement, which can be found here. So if you’re willing to wait until December 31, you can pick up a skin that makes the tanky ninja Shen look like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat for half off. Also, if you find yourself being selfish, alone, or having way too much disposable income around the busy Holiday Season, you can buy all of them in a bundle, including the heroes you don’t have for hefty savings. I believe you would save somewhere around 60%. Of course the price for this bundle will adjust itself for heroes you already own, so don’t worry about double paying for heroes.
I have been reading some of the comments on the Riot site about this, and the butthurt of some of the players hating the fact that their “special” skins are going back on sale is possibly the best thing I will see all day. It’s a free to play game folks, this is a great way to make some quick cash for Riot. I hardly even play the game and I plan on picking up the two Shen skins, so mission accomplished from Riot’s end really.
